Greenvale Primary School Soccer Pitch Reconstruction and Storm water Harvesting Project
- Stage 1 – Greenvale Primary School installation of a new automated irrigation system and reconstruction of their existing soccer pitch over the Christmas Break 2016/17. Works started with the stripping of the existing surface, cut to fill Via laser machine control (2D), importing a new sand root zone layer and Re-turfing the surface with KiKuyu and a specific 13 week maintenance period.
- Stage 2 – We completed the Storm water Harvesting project for the school, incorporating a 1800 mm dia x 2500 mm deep reinforced fibreglass pump chamber that was retro fitted to the existing 225 mm concrete outlet storm water drain. A submersible pump station was installed in the pump chamber to transfer the water to the No.4 45kL refurbished rainwater tanks that we installed on site. A new 6×6 meter pump shed was erected on site to house the schools maintenance equipment, new electrical switchboard, irrigation system controller and as well as a new 7.5kW inline vertical multi stage pump which is connected to the previously installed irrigation system. The Water harvest for every 10 mm of rain is collecting 60 thousand liters of water.
